Lesquite is surrounded by 1.5 acres of informal gardens and 13 acres of old woodland. It is bounded on one side by a tributary of the river Fowey. The farmhouse is centrally heated and during the colder days, a wood-burning stove adds to the cosiness of the sitting room. The breakfast room is bright and cheerful, and on sunny mornings you can enjoy the garden and birdsong through the open French doors. We offer a varied breakfast including produce from our organic farm and homemade preserves. The area has an abundance of excellent restaurants and pubs and we would be delighted to suggest some favourite haunts. Cornwall has inspired many artistic talents. Locally we have the Daphne du Maurier Festival in May and Mary Wesley lived just a few yards away and drew inspiration from our local beach, Lansallos. Cornwall is noted for lovely gardens including Heligan and Trebah, famous houses of Lanhydrock, Cotehele and Pencarrow, and Eden is a 30-minute drive away. The bustling fishing harbours of Fowey, Polperro and Looe are also very close. With so much to see and do during the day, the peace and quiet of Lesquite will ensure you have a wonderful stay.
